What is psychedelic integration and preparation?
The success of a psychedelic journey depends not only on the experience itself but also on the preparation beforehand and, most importantly, the integration after the experience. Psychedelic experiences can be powerful, eye-opening, and even life-changing—but they can also stir up fear, uncertainty, and questions about what might unfold. And once it does, how do we make sense of it and practically synthesize and apply that knowledge in our daily lives? The real magic of integration happens afterwards in seeing the full scope of how differently your life can look when the findings from your psychedelic journey are folded into your life.
As Marc Aixalà, the author of “Psychedelic Integration”, reminds us, integration is about “making the implicit explicit,” giving shape and meaning to what was felt or glimpsed so that it can become a lasting source of healing and growth. Without this step, insights risk fading away, but with it, they can transform into tangible change.
What will our work look like?
After the intake process, we may:
Clarify your goals and set clear, heartfelt intentions for your journey.
Explore different areas of your life—health, relationships (romantic and platonic), career, mental well-being, and spirituality—to see where growth or healing is most needed.
With a trauma-informed and compassionate approach, uncover limiting beliefs, fears, concerns, and root causes that may be holding you back.
Begin gently deconstructing and reframing those limiting beliefs so you can create new patterns of thought and behavior.
Develop a step-by-step plan for your medicine journeys and the integration process afterward, including practical tools, daily practices, and accountability to support long-term change.
